Castor Market Report August 2024

There are 18 weeks of rainfalls, of which we had 9 weeks already with sufficient rains in most parts of Gujarat. Especially the last 4 weeks where quite good. Gujarat has received 20% more than compared to normal levels of this period, but we had already water logging and flooding in several regions. This lead to approx. 65 dead people and 14.552 people, who needed to be rehabilitated as houses were flooded and / or damaged. On 2nd of August 141.000 hectares where sown with Castor compared to 401.000 hectares last year.
