Crop development and price trend

In the last days of December we have seen a drop in price for Castor seeds and Castor oil. Arrivals are all of a sudden good again. We see 50.000 – 60.000 bags arriving per day in the farmers auctions which is a lot for this time of the year. It seems that the bottleneck we have seen earlier is over. This might be because of farmers having nearly completed the Rabi-crop planting and that some speculators now lost the hope in further increasing prices in Q1/2026 because of a shortness of seeds...
