Castor International re-certified under ISO 9001:2015 and GMP+

Body

We are proud to announce that Castor Internationals ISO 9001:2015 certificate and GMP+ certification are successfully extended. Sales Manager Arthur de Raad reviews the audits in this article.

Audits

‘An audit in basic terms means checking to ensure you are actually doing what you say you are doing. During the audits various business processes were reviewed. Furthermore, our sales representatives were tested on their regulations knowledge and how they apply this in their daily work. It was a great check to ensure that we meet all quality objectives that we set for our self.’

ISO Certification

‘ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. At a typical audit, the auditor thoroughly investigates a company. I am very proud to share that during the ISO recertification we didn’t receive any comments that had to be addressed. This rarely happens at ISO audits. Our new ISO 9001:2015 certificate is valid until May 5, 2022.’

GMP+ quality standards

‘GMP+ is the international certification scheme for feed safety. GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices. This is reviewed for the entire process, meaning: purchasing, transport and value added services like blending, re-packing and sales. These parts of the supply chain are in safe hands at Castor Internationals group partners. When auditing Castor Internationals part of the GMP+ quality system, one minor suggestion was made which will be addressed. This however didn’t hamper our renewed certification.’
