Castor Market Report October 2019

We have seen a quite dynamic end of September with prices falling much stronger than anybody expected this year. What is going on? In February on the castor oil conference everybody was optimistic about the price development and prices of USD 2000,00 and more for Castor Oil FSG were discussed to be quite likely for end of this year. The new crop was not sufficient for a full years demand and the carryover stocks were expected to be low. Than in March the carryover stocks were corrected and all of a sudden it was looking like that the demand and supply would be balanced most likely by end of this year.
